Unhappy SCSI Boot


good morning everybody

The first thing that I like to say is that my english is not very good, I apologize if someone doesn't understand me, my problem is this:
I have a SCSI HDD and I was trying to install Ubuntu, the system was installed ok but when I finish and th pc tried to boot from the SCSI HDD, the machine doesn't do nothing, prompt was flashing and flashing looking for the SCSI boot and nothing happened, the boot priority is ok
and the pc recognize the SCSI very good, the HDD is an IBM, wht can I do?

Is the controller capable of booting? Some cheap scsi cards could not boot harddrives since missing the boot chip. They worked fine for scsi cd or scsi drives that not required to booted from.

If bootable controller then where did you put the boot record during the install? MBR or the first partition. It nneds to be on the MBR.

I have the exact same problem as him, and i'm pretty sure it can boot(i will have comfirmation of this in a few hours), and i putted the boot record on the MBR. Any idea what else could cause this?
