scroll button not working on mouse =\


hi all,
oki gotta Logitech optical scroll mouse and tried configuring XF86 with the zaxis crap but it's jus not working that scroll wheel refuses to acknowledge itself...

neways, the mouse protocolz on IMPS/2 i tried LOGITECH but that didin't work..

ne ideas?

Are you talking about the wheel or the wheel button?
Does your crap look like this?
Did you restart X?

For my PS/2 optical scroll mouse.

Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

just this second i tried changing my device to "dev/psaux" like u have there but that made the mouse not work at all... so i jus changed itb ack to "dev/mouse"

My /dev/psaux is just a symlink to the actual mouse device.

So what distro version are you running?

siiiiiiiiiiiick tho' i jus got it w0rking =D thanx for ur help, the problem was at the bottom of my XF... i had another mouse secion in which the zaxismapping option was .. i moved into the "actua' mouse device section and it w0rks.. quiete the idiotic error =D now onto my other erros which i will post ASAP =D
