screen blanks during installation

hi guys i'm new to this forum..
i having problem in installing Fedora Core 4..
as i start it booting
after
VMlinz.....
and blah.....
blahh....
after chacking diks memory and network .....[ok]

after this it install anaconda and check for Graphic card and mouse
then it moves to GUI mode here
the SCREEN GOES BLANK .....TOTALLY WHITE
but as i installit using text mode
after instalation i boot it again goes TOTALLY WHITE
no activity thereafter
is there anybody who can help me....

Whats the graphic card you use?

Do you have an internal graphics card and using a pci card?

Have you checked the BIOS if you have selected the proper graphics card and VGA memory

I have had a similar experience with a few different distros on a couple different computers. Most likely the distro isn't recognizing your video card properly. You could try downloading a live distro like knoppix and booting it up to check out the xorg.conf file to see what the settings are and compare it to the settings fedora core 4 set up.
