Question Scanner "sharing" over RDP (from Linux to Windows)

Hey all,
We use Fedora on workstations at work (small business), but the application we use (claims manager) runs on Server 2003 through Remote Desktop.
My question is, is there a way to use the flatbed scanner connected to the Linux workstation over RDP in the Windows application running on the Windows server?
The scanner in question is a Canon CanoScan LiDE 200, which has "Complete" support according to the SANE database:
I don't know where to start with this to be honest, like for instance I know how to share a printer attached to a Linux machine with Windows machines, but scanner I don't know.
Help is very appreciated.

The "sharing" protocol doesn't have to be RDP. Anything goes, as long as it lets the Windows application have access to the scanner connected to the Linux machine.

I gave up last time I tried this, but maybe this will get you started. I got it to work once, and not sure what I did to break it. I believe this will work from linux to windows if I remember right, but you would need to use a SANE scanning program, not the MP Navigator.
Aside from that, I have never seen anything that worked reliably for sharing a scanner between windows computers, let alone between windows and linux.
