Scanner

Anyone with any tips: I have an Epson Perfection Scanner. Sane can't find it or recognize it. But I would like to get it working. I got my printer working, by buying Red Hat 9. Worked great, whereas SuSe never printed anything for me. O, the scanner is on USB.
Best tip I suppose is buy another scanner?? Which one??

Thanks Peter

Have you tried the NEWEST sane-backends?

I complained for a while about my scanner not being supported, but then like a miracle, it suddenly was!

Is your USB port working correctly?

For more info on linux scanning, see
http://www.sane-project.org/

It says it supports a whole bunch of Perfection scanners!
