scanner

My scanner works fine as root but I am unable to access it as any other user.

How can I give the other users permission to access it?

Thank you

Usually each piece of hardware also has an entry or a link on the /dev directory. (For example your hard disk - master - first partition is referred to as /dev/hda1) Try finding out which entry refers to your scanner and change permissions using chmod.
