SBLive!value and Voodoo5 conflict(?) in RH8

hi there!
I just instaed redhat 8. when i first instaled it my voodoo worked wonderfuly, accelerating the graphics right out of install on the built in 3d games, but my sound card didn't work at all.
i uninstaled my soundcard and reinstalled it with kudzu and i can get sound now and play mp3s, however, now my video card doesn't work and in my hardware profile two video cards are registered - Creative SBLive!Value and Voodoo5. no soundcard is detected.
any help is appreciated
p.s. the soundcard is pci the voodoo is AGP
