Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question SB Live! modules (xm/s3m etc.) replay

I'm looking for a program that could use hardware capabilities of EMU10k1 chip to play music modules (xm/s3m/mods...). I have found extended module player (on sourceforge). Hardware-assisted replay routine based on OSS sequencer works with older EMU8000-based cards but not with EMU10k1. Xmp exits with error " can't initialize driver ". I've heard that it's OSS driver problem, and tried OSS sequencer emulation in ALSA, but i get the same error. Software mixing is working well in both cases. Is there any hope to play modules using hardware mixing on Live?
