SB Audigy with constent humming noise


I have a Sound blaster Audgy sb 1394 which is connected to an amp when i turn the amp up (with no musik) at about -35 i can CLEARLY hear a humming noise on a low frequency
the home theater amp used to power the sysem is a yamaha htr5550.
The noise comes on a soon as the computer is powered
I also have xp installed and it does the same

Hi DropSig,

I have the same sound board as you, and have a 5.1 speaker system coming out of it. I also have a huming sound but very faint. I can hear it clearly at full volume.........as you would expect. I thought this was normal.
