SB Audigy (gamer) support under 2.6.0 (Need help Q)

I'm running slack9.1 with the 2.6.0 kernel. I tried the Advanced Sound thing in the 2.6.0 kernel which gives you alsa support and such, but it doesn't work one bit. I load the modules, I get a little pop sound as if power is being sent to the speakers saying, ok, you can play now, but then I try to play something in xmms, it doesn't work, I tried "cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp" no sound.

Is there something I forgot?

(I used the emu10k1 option in the kernel)

Is there an emu10k1 driver out there somewhere that supports 2.6? (a la opensource.creative.com)

No sound + many games = crappy.
