Savage 4

Does anyone know how to enable acceleration in the XFree for Savage 4? Where to find drivers etc?
I've got Mandrake 8.2. I've added "Load glx" in XF86Config-4 but there is no hardware acceleration.

I believe the accelerated driver for Savage cards is "savage".

Yeah, here's a bit from the xfree86 site:

Support (accelerated) for the Savage3D, Savage3D/MV, Savage4, Savage2000, and SuperSavage, is provided by the "savage" driver.

That's from the video driver support page for version 4.2.0 of XFree86. Here's the link:

Ideally, whatever autoconfig ran when you setup your OS would have detected the hardware and selected the correct driver. You can look in the /etc/X11/XF86Config file to see which driver is currently being used.
