SATA SiI 3114 problem with 2.6.26.

I have seen others with problems with the sil3114, but am having trouble seeing if they are fixed. But here is what I am experiencing:

I have PATA hardware on my server, and recently added some SATA hardware. I can see the drives, put a new filesystem (via mke2fs -j /dev/sda1) on the drives, but when I try to copy data, I get the following:

kernel: EXT3-fs error (device sda1): ext3_new_block: Allocating block in system zone - blocks.

The PATA drives continue to work fine. I am running a very recent kernel (2.6.26.8).

I have been unable to dig much up on this.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Jeff
