SATA Raid controller cards?

I'm looking at purchasing a 3ware 8506-4LP (RAID controller card for up to 4 SATA drives). It's a bit pricey at over $300. Does anyone know of any decent alternatives that have Linux support? It needs to be able to support at least 4 drives (I already have them).

The Highpoint RocketRAID 1540 is built on the HPT374 chipset and supports four SATA drives. It's affordable and is offically supported on Linux by the vendor. They provide their own drivers for SuSE (currently up to 8.2) and Redhat (up to 9), plus there is in-kernel support for the chipset. Google around on the subject if you wish, I have no first hand experience of it but I have heard good things about it.
