SATA RAID : Adaptec or LSI ???

Dear friends,

I need a RAID5 SATA controller for 8 WD 500GB drives and I need to get it fast.. anyway I don't know which one do you recommend me :

- LSI Megaraid 300-8XLP 8 ports SATA II RAID Controller
or
- Adaptec 2820SA 8 ports SATA II RAID Controller

Neither! For good performance and reliability, I would recommend an Areca or 3Ware controller.

I already got a 3ware 7506-12 with 12x 200GB and even if it's working fine I found the software a little bit poor.. The adaptec looks much better.. I'm trying to found review about the LSI software now but continue to write me your opinions
