SATA Controller


Hi,

I want to understand what is meant by below result output from dmidecode,


Server 1:
Handle 0x00CC, DMI type 41, 11 bytes
Onboard Device
Reference Designation: Embedded SATA Controller #1
Type: SATA Controller
Status: Disabled
Type Instance: 1
Bus Address: 0000:00:1f.2

Handle 0x00CD, DMI type 41, 11 bytes
Onboard Device
Reference Designation: Embedded SATA Controller #2
Type: SATA Controller
Status: Disabled
Type Instance: 2
Bus Address: 0000:00:11.4

Please use CODE tags when posting such things. And have you looked at the dmidecode man page, or looked up any examples by doing basic research?

Essentially, it's telling you the bus address, status, type, and other info, the details of which can be found by looking at the man page referenced. Also, you've not followed up in any of your previous threads:
