SATA Compatability
 
How compatable are SATA HDs? I'm using Fedora, and I want to use a western digital wd2500js. I've heard I might need to config the kernel or something like that. Just wondering if I'd just be better off by going with something that works "right out of the box"

i bought a sata hard drive when they first came out and i had trouble getting it to work, i dont have these problems now i think that the module is already loaded in the kernel by default what version of fedora are you using?
