SanDisk Imagemate and Mandrake 8.2

My usb card reader (San Disk Imagemate) is recognised by Mandrake 8.2. It is listed as a disk in Control Center. I am having difficulty trying to mount it. It is /dev/sda - but I can't seem to create a link to it.
I know it works because it was okay under SuSE 7.3 Pro.

Stop! Thanks - but I've done it! I was just being too cautious in Control Center. I've mounted sda1 now and all is well.

Which San Disk Imagemate do you use?

I use an sddr55, which also is recognized by Mandrake 8.2, but how do I get it working? According to the sandisk homepage this device does not work in Linux.

I do not find it in /dev (like you did as /dev/sda)
