Thinking of picking up one of the Samsung T5 external SSD drives but the specs only say Mac OS and Windows compatibility.

Does anyone know if this drive will work properly on a Ubuntu system?

I'd be willing to guess that it will work.

This is a limit I'd assume.

Unless you find some current owner reports of this device being used then you will have to test it. Most usb drives can be used without any software. I didn't read where it required you to have software.
