Samsung SyncMaster 204b Flashes

Hello. I recently installed Ubuntu 7.04 onto my desktop computer. The Samsung LCD monitor I am using occasionally "flashes" -- that is, the display goes blank and then comes back again. I cannot determine what brings this on, and X reports no error, as far as I know. My next troubleshooting step is to hook up the VGA input and see if maybe the DVI is causing the problem. Beyond that, I'm at a loss for how to diagnose the problem. Any ideas?

Here's the details:

Unfortunatelly this is a Samsung Syncmaster 204B hardware bug.
It should work fine on analog connection or make Samsung replace monitor with the working one.
