Samsung ML-2010 Printer seems to be installed, print jobs hang in the CUPS qeue

I have installed my SAMSUNG ML-2010 printer, and when I try and print to it from lp, or print a test page nothing happens... the job just hangs in the cups queue.

I am running a 64bit Cross Linux From Scratch installation, so everything is installed from source.

As there are no error messages I'm having trouble figuring out how to start troubleshooting this. What can I do to troubleshoot my printer installation? I have done everything that seemed obvious to me... I re-installed CUPS, ghostview, and the driver several times, made sure that the printer was set up with the correct PPD file in cups, and that the printer is indeed plugged in, has paper, and is powered on.

Thank you,

Mark.
