Sakar 76379 USB Webcam not recognized

I have one of those USB "76379 digital camera/webcam" made by (it says) Sakar.

The kde knows that a camera is there, Gnome recognizeds that a camera is hooked in, and the camera works on windows as a webcam, just fine. But but my fedora 5 linux, 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5smp, on a Gigabyte motherboard, number GA-8IPE1000 Pro, bios number fg (for the bios update number).

But still, it will not work on my fedora box. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me on this. I'm at my wits end and on a fixed income, one can't just run out and get another camera.

I tried getting linux drivers for it in google, no luck there.
