saitek usb keyboard "input irq status -32 received"
Hello, I just bought myself a "Saitek Multimedia Slimline" keyboard (http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/slimlinekey.htm) - mostly because I thought it looked cool :)
However, to my surprise it doesn't seem to work in Linux. OK if the "fancy" stuff hadn't work, but nothing works at all. When I connect it (USB), this shows when I run "dmesg": ... drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: input irq status -32 received drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: input irq status -32 received drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: input irq status -32 received drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: input irq status -32 received ... Does anyone have any good ideas? I have tried another USB keyboard, a more simple one, and it works good.. And I've used the iPod etc with usb without trouble. So I guess this keyboard is some special case. I run Gentoo and have kernel 2.6.14. |
hi,
have you managed to get it to work? ive just seen the same one in maplin and was considering getting it for my self. if youve managed to get the normal keys to work but not the extra keys to work, then KeyTouch may work. it doesnt support that keyboard but it doesnt look to difficult to create the xml file to support it. very cool keyboard though im running ubuntu gutsy gibben (well will be when i get back home) Caspar |
it's working!
Haha, I was just going to write "no sorry, no progress yet".. But then I thought I'd give it a shot before writing that, and it actually worked now !
It's kernel 2.6.22. And I'm not sure about all the keys.. But at least the normal ones seem to work fine.. And also the scroll wheel! Cool :) Thanks for reminding me about it! I had given up all hope for it.. :) |
cheers dude,
i can go and buy it now. will let you know how i get on. |
