Specify the card and tuner number. It is a trial and error if your card is not listed.

I have a problem or two, but I will try to answer yours first.
What electro means is look in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/video4linux/CARDLIST.saa7134 If your card is listed, pass the "card=xx" option to the saa7134 module where "xx" is the corresponding card #. For example, if you had a Sabrent SBT-TVFM card, like I do, then you would pass the option "card=42" to the module. If your card is not listed, you will have to go down the list and try every number. It is not as hard as it sounds.
Now my problem.
I have installed my card and gotten an image and everything, but the saa7134 module seems to think that my composite input is the tv/antenna input, and that my tv input is my composite. It looks like it just switched around on me. The big problem with this is now I cannot tune my tuner because it thinks the cable signal is a composite signal.
I have tried every tuner=xx option, and they all basically do the same thing.
Another thing: I do not really own the SBT-TVFM, I own the version that is exactly the same but it doesn't have an FM tuner. I shaved a $27 purchase to about $24. Somehow, I don't think this is the issue.
I am beginning to think that I am passing the tuner=xx option to the wrong module. Maybe it needs to go to v4l.
