Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

S3 Savage IX dualhead configuration

savage(4) man page says dualhead operation is supported on MX, IX, and SuperSavage chips. But it doesn't tell how to configure and enable dualhead operation. If i type xrandr in console, it says:
Code:
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 240, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
default connected 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1024x768 60.0*
   800x600 60.0 56.0
   640x480 60.0
   640x400 60.0
   512x384 70.0 60.0
   400x300 60.0 56.0
   320x240 60.0
So, it doesn't support different outputs out of the box.
My chip:
Code:
$ lspci|grep VGA
01:01.0 VGA compatible controller: S3 Inc. 86C270-294 Savage/IX-MV (rev 13)
How can i enable dualhead operation?
_________
Edit: I checked this controller in windows, and it really does support dualhead operation, so the question is _how_ to enable this in xorg.
