S-video only?

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and fairly new to Linux. I'm putting together a linux-only machine and want to use a TV as the display instead of a monitor. This computer is going to sit next to my TV and stereo so I can surf the net and play mp3s all from the comfort of my living room .

However, every video card with S-video out that I've seen won't let the machine boot without a monitor attached. Does anyone know of any cards that would allow me to do this? Should I buy an adapter of some sort?

Thanks
Giovanni

Oops, I forgot a few things. The computer is an Athlon 1.2, 512 mb RAM, 20 gb HD, running Redhat 9.0.
