S-ATA and Slackware 9.1

Hi. I am a total newb when it comes to linux so i really need some help. I cant get slackware 9.1 to install on my machine, due to my only hard drive being on a s-ata raid stripe. The machine spec is:

MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR
Promise S-ATA controller (Fasttrak 376)
this is all that is relevant.

I would really appreciate any help you can offer. I havent got a clue what to do. Please help!
