Running Kyro with glx
Hi,
I'm not completely new to linux, but still I'm still trying to get q3demo running on my pc. Installing this baby was a challenge on itself, but i managed to get it done. The problem is that it runs waaay to slow, a frame or two per second, maybe four on lowest graphics. Turns out (glxinfo) my glx is running on that old mesa thing. Now I've got a Hercules Kyro card, for which I installed the drivers from the site powervr.com/Downloads/Drivers/index.asp and installed them. I edited my xorg.conf, and stuff works fine of course, only glx info doesn't show GL_VENDOR kyrostuff, but mesa... My question is how do i get glxinfo to show: OpenGL vendor string: Imagination Technologies OpenGL renderer string: PowerVR KYRO OpenGL version string: 1.2.1 INSTALLED COMPONENTS: ==================== * XFree86 2D driver (/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/powervr_drv.o) * XFree86 DRI component (/usr/X11R6/modules/dri/powervr_dri.so) * kernel DRM module (/lib/modules/`uname -r`/char/drm/powervr.o) * internal libraries (/usr/lib/lib{PVR2D,PVR2OS,PVRMMAP,SGL2,SGLMID7B}.so) * library symlink (/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/libPVR2D.so) I'm using Slackware 10.2, kernel 2.4.somthing Thnx for your respons |
