Running an app in WINE-but it doesn't "see" the attached USB device?

The app is an editor app for an attached MIDI controller. The App installs and opens ok, and the device shows accurately under lsusb...but for some reason the app will not see it?

Any suggestions please? Or is it actually not possible in WINE?

Thanks

you can find a lot of documentation about how to use usb from wine, like this: https://superuser.com/questions/1477...0-ubuntu-19-04

Thanks for that...I had previously created those entries in Wine Regedit - but still no joy. I wonder if the installation of the Arturia Midi driver is causing this? I knwo Linux has a lot of this sort of support in it's kernel so I wonder if somehow by installing that bespoke MIDI driver it broke something?

Installing a driver most probably will not harm anything. But I don't really know if a linux driver can help you to access it from wine. And also you can try to uninstall it.

Thanks - I did manage to do that. I've decided until WINE can figure out this USB thing, I'm just going to get a cheap windows device probs a surface pro, used of course! They can be had for as little as $200 and for basic midi editing apps it'll be fine
I have three devices that have usb Editors that do not run in Linux. It'll save a lot of heartache short term I'm sure.
