Ive been playing with USB and linux.
On the pendrive site, they have tons of usb linux
applications, however, most of these seem to be
for running linux on usb, via a windows computer.
This isnt what I need... I just want it to work
on my linux computer, with the application (teenpup)
on my USB. This could be the ISO file, or, copied
from live-CD... Ive tried both, unsuccessfully...
again, just trying to start the application, it does
not need to be automatically bootable.
Anybody know how to do this ?
As mentioned, I did try copying all files from the live-CD
to my usb, but, couldnt find a bin or other file that would
start the application.
It is fine if I need to open a directory and type in a file
to start teenpup... the only condition is it needs to be
stored on the usb drive.
Somewhere down the road, it would be nice to get boot-from-usb
going, but I'll settle for just starting the linux for now.
It sounds like you are trying to load one distribution up while you are running another?
You can't really do that. You are already booted and running the one distribution, there is no way to run a second system unless you do it under a VM of some sort.
If there is some particular application you want to get off of the other system, that is another story. But to actually use one distribution from inside another can't be done without some emulation (and thus a hit in performance).

ah thank you... what Im looking at is starting a distro, without
the auto boot, which, it appears, the linux apps are not set up
to do... thank you again for bringing this point up.
