I have a machine running Gentoo that has a USB Nic in it, from Hawking Technologies model HUF11, that uses the RTL8150 driver. This NIC will randomly stop working, and I don't know if the issue is with the NIC or with the box itself. When it fails if I go to /var/kern.log I get a repeating message that says the following:
Code:
drivers/usb/net/rtl8150.c: Rx status -84
There are also entries like this:
Code:
drivers/usb/net/rtl8150.c: eth1: intr status -84
and like this:
Code:
drivers/usb/net/rtl8150.c: eth1: ctrl urb status -71
Is this a NIC hardware issue, or an issue with the machine. Either way where do I go next? Thanks
