Roadrunner and RedHat 9
Hey All,

I've just migrated (finally) to Linux and chose RedHat as my poison of choice. But now I'm having trouble getting my internet connection up and running.

I have an ethernet card which is not being detected, and I'm not sure how to go about installing it in Linux.

I'm running Motorola Surfboard 4200 which has a USB port so I can set it up that way but I have no way of installing the drivers as they come on a win cd.

I'm a little confused as this is my first venture with Linux, so any help and some patience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance for any help.

What type of ethernet card do you have? Was it installed (physically) during the RH install or did you add it later?

Does Kudzu not pick it up at all?

Hey Xavier,

The card I have is an HP EN1207D-TX PCI 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter which came installed on the computer when I bought it, and works great on XP, but Kudzu doesn't pick it up at all.

I was able to get it up with the USB after doing some major Googling, but my box isn't networked so I really would rather have it set up on the card.

Thanks for your help by the way, I really appreciate it.
