LQ doesn't do "urgent". LQ is a volunteer-driven community effort relying on its members to supply answers when they can. If you want 24/7/* dedicated realtime response capability please consider hiring a local GNU/Linux guru.

Since you've introduced yourself as "Linux Certified Engineer" shouldn't you be posting HW specs and xorg.conf contents ('grep -v "#" /etc/X11/xorg.conf | grep -i [a-z]') and read /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see if the display driver provides resolutions above those mentioned and if it lists any errors?

No---sorry----NOT urgent.
See the sign above the receptionist's desk: "We have two speeds here--If you don't like this one, you surely will not like the other."

What is your video card?

Did you run "X -configure" or some other way to generate the xorg.conf file?

What driver is specified in xorg.conf?
