RHEL driver for controller PROMISE SATA150 TX2Plus
Hi,
I cannot install Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 3 Update 1 on the following PC:
- M/B ASUS P4C800 DELUXE 875P
- CPU INTEL PENTIUM 4 3.0Ghz + Hyper-Threading Technology
- HD SERIAL ATA MAXTOR 80 Gb model 6Y080M0 with PROMISE
Serial ATA Controller
(SATA378 TX2plus BIOS Version 1.00.0.33).
BIOS options:
Onboard Promise Controller: Enabled
Operating Mode: IDE
Boot Device: SATA378 TX2Plus
NOTE: NO RAID.
The installation procedure stops with the following error:
>> No hard drives have been found.
>> You probably need to manually choose device drivers for
>> the installation to succeed.
I have tried the driver for "Serial ATA Promise" controller, but I found only the version for RED HAT 9.0.
Obviously this driver is not correct for RHEL kernel version ...
So, could someone send me the right driver for RHEL?
I have seen that RHEL ES 3 Update 1 includes support for Serial ATA device via INTEL ICH5 Serial ATA Controller, but this is not our case!!!
Thanks in advance! I am waiting for your urgent answer!

What's the kernel you're using?
uname -a
Also, where are you getting the SerialATA Promise driver? From Promise? Got a link?
Cheers,
Finegan
