hi all,

i have been running rh9 quite happily for a couple of months now with relatively few problems. however, now i have a really irritating problem.

system is running fine with no problems at all. recently installed a usb2.0 pci card, and everything went smoothly and without a hitch. however...

i was running along using the system like normal this evening, then i decided to reboot the system. reboot. get to the graphical login screen, and for some strange reason i cannot use the num-lock on the keypad. just wont work. neither the space bar. and (most annoying of all) the 3,4,5,6,7,8 keys (not on the keypad) will not work at all. this has prevented me from logging in at all into the system (had to ssh into the box just to connect to the internet through my laptop on the network).

anyone with any advice on how to approach this problem? i am not even sure what to look for. the strangest thing for me is that nothing was really being installed or changed at the time.

wait, i did have my digcam connected via usb to transfer pictures at the time. that is really the only other thing that might have caused a problem that i can think of.
