RH 9 hangs on booting
Sorry my bad English.
I'm not newbie, but can't solve this problem. I'm setup RH 9.0 on Hewlett Packard Netserver E-45 and Linux does not booting after setting up system. After loading kernel, mounting root filesystem and swap i see "Finding module dependencies [OK]" and system hangs. I'm use generic kernel, and don't add/remove hardware after installation, don't recompile ot touch something. My HP have SCSI, but i see how this module loading and successfully working with drive. I have 2 disk: first for Linux (3 mountpoint: /, /boot, swap) and second formatted as DOS disk. Can anybody help me? |
Its sounds like a timeout trying to get the SCSI bus on a card to reset... Maybe an oddly terminated card, or possibly RedHat is loading the wrong driver, what kind of SCSI cards are we dealing with? Or really... I think it should have gotten past that point by then, can you get it to boot to single user mode?
