RH 8 and printer problems

I have been using my Canon BJC-80 to print stockbroker daily reports for some time. I replaced my LaserJet 3100 (not Linux-compatible) with a 3300, which prints with some things (including xpdf), but with the broker reports I get 1 or more lines of gibberish per pages and pages. It looks like output from the wrong driver. I thought maybe I could use something other than the postscript driver, since xpdf gives me that choice, but for this, straight off the internet in html format, there is no such option. Is there a way around this, or must I resign myself to using the BJC-80 much of the time?

What program are you using to print the reports? Maybe you can print to file in postscript format, then use another program to print the file.
