Revo support...
Does anyone know if the M-Audio Revolution has Linux support? M-Audio doesn't ship drivers for it, I'm pretty sure, but any 3rd party stuff? The search function on their site turned up a site that had drivers for pretty much every card they have *except* the Revo.
Also, why on earth would it have support for WinME but not 98?!

Windows has officially EOL'ed 98 first ed, so most companies have stopped bothering to keep drivers for it either... funny it doesn't have at least 98se, but hey.
The picture is just a tad too far back to see what the chipset is, which would give us an idea, but really for about every 1000 soundcards on the market there are only 30 chipsets, so aside from good luck with google to find out the name of the chipset... its a guess. Something with dolby 7.1 though, even if its covered its either goint to be limited or beta, probably.
Cheers

Chipset...
Well, a quick Google pulled this page up. Says it's Envy24HT powered, so I'd assume that's the chipset. And yeah; I know about the small amounts of chipsets. My current card (SB Live! X-Gamer non-5.1) uses the ubiqitous EMU10K1 chipset, which I believe all Live! cards use. I believe the rear speaker output uses something different, however. I got tired of Creative's resource hogging, crappy drivers, and so got the KX Project drivers. Except for occasional skipping when playing back MP3/FLAC files, I'm very happy with it.
