Reverse/backwards usb to IDE?
Hi folks
I have found this is not an easy topic to google because of the large amount of USB to IDE gadgets available. There are a few similar threads elsewhere but nothing quite matches what I'm trying to achieve.
I have a PC with only USB1.1 and I would like USB2. I definately have no spare PCI slots, but I do have a spare IDE slot. Can I "convert" this to a USB? This only has to be recognised when Linux is running.
Other threads that talk about similar topics have the requirement that the PC hardware recognises a connected USB disk so that it can be booted from, but that's not my intention.
So back to the question: can USB to IDE (the reverse direction) be done?
Thanks.
