Restting ubuntu
 

i want to reset ubuntu
as if the first day i used it back to default without reinstalling. everything is as good as new.

i have used rm -rf .gnome .gnome2 .gconf .gnonfd .metacity and it does not work plz help.

I feel like I've seen this thread before.

If you want it to be just like it was when you installed, you're better off just reinstalling. The only way you could do this is if you have some sort of snapshot backup system, and you took a snapshot right after the previous installation - and I am guessing this is not the case. Otherwise you could spend weeks trying to get every last file and setting to be just exactly as it was upon installation.
