No you didn't - you did not read the initial post, and continue to add to the confusion.

This is a LVM installation.

Last time I tried pvresize, then lvextend. I'm sure I'm omitting steps or something is out of order here.
We need to see relevant displays - let's see these; use code tags so we can read it.
Code:
lvs
vgs
lsblk -f

Thanks to everyone who responded to this thread. I was seriously overthinking this whole thing. Here's how I solved this.

Imaged the system with the Clonezilla live image (140GB). Powered down the system and removed the hard drive. Used a SATA to USB cable to connect the hard drive to another system.

IN a terminal window went to "gparted" and a GUI came up. Used the drop-down to choose the slaved drive (sdb). I could see the approx 335GB of Unallocated space. I chose "resize" from the gparted GUI window and added all the space to the drive. Put the drive back into the system and rebooted it.

When it came up I went to a terminal window and typed the command "lvextend -L+375G /dev/sdb" (I may be off on this command here, I'm at home and my notes are at work but I think this is close to the command I entered), then resize2fs /dev/rhel/home. The "df -h" command output now shows that /home is approx 375GB. Rebooted the system just to make sure it would boot. Then I restarted again and copied 300GB of data to /home to make sure it would hold that amount of data.

Seems to work.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays.

Good, another happy camper. Just a note for the future - you could have resized the filesystem with the lvextend.
