resize hardware raid5

Hi

i have a system with a raid5 unit, running of a 3ware 9590SE, i just added a new drive to the array, and it has added to it fine, mirated and verified.

the new size is now shown as 1.36 TB which is correct,

this is mounted under linux as a storage location (system runs of a raid1) so i have my raid5 array unmounted right now but i can not get the system to resize the new partition to see the full new 1.36 TB of space, still shows as 932GB.

filesystem on the partition is EXT3

my questions is how do i go about exspanded the partion with out looking any data?

i run parted /dev/sda

shows
Quote:
(parted) p

Model: AMCC 9590SE-8ML DISK (scsi)
Disk /dev/sda: 1500GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: msdos

Number Start End Size Type File system Flags
1 32.3kB 1000GB 1000GB primary ext3
Quote:

Partition number? 1
Start? [32.3kB]?
End? [1000GB]?
Error: File system has an incompatible feature enabled.
Thank you for your time
Robert
