repartitioning harddisk with existing RH installation

Dear All,

Currently I am running qmail server on Red Hat 7.3. Whenever a client mail application connects to the mail server, it prompts an error saying that the /var partition is full. What I would want to do is to resize the /var partition so that the error will be fixed. Here are my questions:

1. What utility should I use to do this repartition task?
2. Would repartitioning my current installation pose a risk on possible
problems after that?

Thanks.

Regards,

Carl
