removable media doesn't automount after Fedora upgrade

I have always upgraded, never reinstalled. Upgrading from F14 to F15 has caused my removable media (thumbdrives, ipods, etc.) to stop mounting automatically upon insertion. Moving from Gnome 2 to Gnome 3 was complicated enough, but this was unexpected. Any ideas (other than a fresh installation)?

Thanks for any help.

This is a new one on me, but you could check that haldaemon is enabled in services.

I'd think that the user permissions have or need to be set.
