remote serial interface not completing prints
 

I have a Startech RS232 ethernet remote serial interface. The problem is when i send a print to a terminal or printer it loses the end portion of it. It seems the print is sent over tcp/ip too fast, then the connection closes. This cause the print to fail predictable at the same character count.
Working in RHEL 4 I installed the device in CUPS as a networked jet direct on local port 4098. The Startech RS232 set in RFC2217 mode. The software this came with isn't an option.
I also ran into the same issue with other serial printer through expensive Digi term servers. However we use TtyRedirector software and they sent me an update fixing the issue.
Startech helpdesk says there isn't a solution for this.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
