Sure, pick one from Hewlett-Package (H-P), get the Ethernet card for it if not provided standard, hook it it up and be happy. Pretty much every HP printer either already is supported in CUPS and, if not, the PPD files are provided with the printer. In my experience, H-P provides the most bang for the buck, are reliable, typically outlive your computer systems and H-P provides the best support for Linux and UNIX systems I've come across.
Laserjet printers are faster and more efficient (in terms of supplies you have to buy) than Inkjets. If you really need color, there are color Laserjets.
Take a guess at how many pages you print per day/week/month, whether you need color and pick one on that basis; probably want to add 10% to 20% to your guess, though...
