reiser4 and wireless driver module-> 4kb kernel stacks?

i'm trying to upgrade to a reiser4 filesystem, but this requires that 4kb stacks not be selected in the kernel config. unfortunately, my wireless USB adapter will only load the driver modules if i have 4kb stacks enabled. it's a netgear MA101b and i was using the atmel sourceforge driver but will be switching to the berlios driver (neither module would load - gives the kernel version error about 4kb stacks.)

does anyone know how it would be possible to boot a kernel with reiser4 support, 8kb stacks, and then still load the wireless modules?
