I got a new device and its object file. When i try to insert the module using insmod, i get this message QM_MODULES: Function not implemented

The command i used is "insmod -f driver.o"

I am using suse 9.1 kernel.

Can anybody help me out in this issue? - Thanks in advance.

A quick google search on "QM_MODULES: Function not implemented" leads to this page as the first hit it seems to suggest upgrading to the latest module-init-tools but they are talking 2.6 kernel does Suse 9.1 have a 2.6 kernel??
