Question Regarding i8042.c issue

Hello everyone,

Recently my workstation faced an issue regarding i8042.c. Here are the problems :-

i8042.c : Can't read CTR while initializing i8042.
Loading, please wait ....
-Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
-check rootdelay = (did the system wait long enough?)
-check root = (did the system wait for the right device?)
-Missing modules (cat /proc/modules : ls /dev)

This things happened after having a blackout of electricity in my room. After having some electricity in my room, I switch on my workstation which IBM X3100 M4 and it receive that issue. Whenever I wait, it will keep reboot and display the same issue and keep reboot.

I'm using Debian for my OS workstation. Please help me. I don't have any idea about these issue.

The 8042 is the PS/2 keyboard / mouse controller and I have a suspicion the motherboard was damaged by the blackout. I do not know if the "can't read CTR" would cause a reboot but you might want to try booting a live CD and if that works use fsck check the file systems for errors.
