Angry RedHat9 + Highpoint-RAID-Problem

Hi!

I've installed RH9 on my fileserver (only 2 80GB discs in a RAID1 - Epox-Board with HPT370/372 on board) as usual but with the RH9 bootdisk from

http://www.clockwatching.net/%7Efin/...rh9_hpt37x.tgz

that's OK.

After install I've changed the /dev/sdaX in /etc/fstab and /etc/lilo.conf and /boot/grub/grub.conf to /dev/ataraid/disc0/partX as mentioned in the readme provided in those file. (RH9 uses devFS as default?)

Then I made lilo -v (does not work), than I tried lilo -v -b /dev/sda (works without an error; but Linux got a kernel panic) ; after that I tired grub-install (no errors, but I have no experience with grub until now)

What about the devices themselves? Do I have to create them myself?

What about the /etc/modules.conf? Do I have to make any chenges there too?

Does that procedure work for anybody here? Please help me: my fileserver is down
