RedHat with RAID SERIAL ATA
Hi! I'm from Poland an my english is not good.
I have problem with installing RedHatLinux 9.2 (AUROX 9.2) in system: Motherboard: ASUS A7N8X with silcon image RAID Serial Ata Controller Hard disks: two hard disks Seagate 80GB serial ata in STRIPE RAID SET = one virtual volume (capacity: 180GB) In this volume i have partitions (maked by Partition Magic 8.0 program): - 10GB primary bootable FAT32 (installed WindowsXP) - 140GB extended - 5GB logical FAT32 (installed Windows98) - 120GB logical NTFS (partition for data) - 10GB EXT3 (for linux) - 0.5GB linux SWAP In that situation i try to install AUROX Linux 9.2. I maked floppy disk with drivers for SATA controller and then boot's system from AUROX LINUX installation CD #1. Installation starts succesfully, but when i must make partition (question: automatic or disk druid partitioning program) linux told me: "Your partition table is bad. Do you reinitialize disk, and lost data?" I don't want lost data!!! I wont linux see my RAID set, and maked partitons!!! Please help. |
